Adam Morris
Managing Director, Account Management and Senior Engineer; BENG (HONS), MCP, CNE, AUS
Following graduation from Surrey University in 1991, Adam joined the PC support team at Invesco Perpetual and began forging a career in IT infrastructure support. He continued to take on more responsible roles with other blue chip companies including Cap Gemini and WH Smith focusing on 3rd line support and service management. Adam’s last role before joining Avagio, was as European IT Manager for Fairchild semiconductor. His responsibilities included managing the IT needs of 200 users spread over 7 European offices.
Adam is currently the MD and owner of Avagio ITS Limited. He joined Avagio in 2002 when the company was launched and became MD in 2004. Over this time, Adam has created steady growth. Adam is responsible for client account management, sales and marketing, in addition to core project delivery and hands on support when required.
Adam has passed the Microsoft Small Business Server examinations in 2006 and the Nortel Converged Data in 2007. His core skills include IT strategy, day to day IT troubleshooting and project planning.
Outside of work, Adam is kept busy with his two young daughters, but does find time to play cricket for his local village and annoy his neighbours with his trumpet playing.
Brett King
Service Delivery Director; BSC (HONS), MCP, CCNA
Brett graduated from the University of the West of England in 1996, and following 2 years as a quantity surveyor, began his career in IT at Connaught plc.
During his 10 years at Connaught, Brett saw the IT infrastructure grow from 50 users, in 4 offices, to 1000 users across 75 (interconnected) locations. Key services that were provided to users included email (using Microsoft Exchange), centralised data storage, backup & disaster recovery, remote access, controlled internet access.
Brett was promoted to Technical Manager at Connaught in 2000, and during that time was responsible for the delivery of a new 15 site Wide Area Network, connection of 40 remote offices via an internet-based VPN solution (using Nokia hardware and Checkpoint software). The last project he worked on at Connaught was the implementation of a Business Critical Case Management System for Connaught’s responsive maintenance divisions.
Since his time at Connaught, Brett has focused his skills on the small and medium business market in and around the southwest, and has achieved the Microsoft Small Business Specialist qualifications.
Brett joined Avagio at the start of 2007 and strengthens Avagio’s skills in server deployment, network design & implementation and desktop support.
Outside of work, Brett is a keen musician playing cello with several local orchestras, and he is also involved with a local band.
